Season Opener at Daytona by Bryan

Nothing beats the season opener at Daytona and this year was action packed.  During the DRIVE4COPD300 NASCAR Nationwide race Dale Jr. piloted the No. 88 Hellmann's Chevy.  The first half of the race was picture perfect; Dale had a solid top 5 car and was contending for the lead.  Then lap 92 hit and a multi-car crash caught Dale Jr. and the No.88 Hellmann's Chevy.  The incident sent the Hellmann's Chevy rolling down the backstretch, destroying the car.  Dale walked away from the wreck uninjured but was forced to settle for a 29th place finish.

Homestead and Champions Week by Bryan
At the Nationwide Season finale in Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kelly Bires took to the track behind the wheel of the No. 5 Ragu Chevy.  This marked Ragu's first primary sponsorship of a Nationwide series car and Kelly's debut with JR Motorsports.  Kelly qualified 24th and finished 29th after a late race incident cut down one of his tires.   Overall it was a great learning experience for Kelly who will pilot the No. 88 Chevy next year with the support of Unilever and JR Motorsports.

Also in Vegas this week Hellmann's presented their award for the Hellmann's Real Fan of the Year to Amber Fant at the NASCAR After the Lap event.  Dale Jr. recorded a special video congratulating her that played before she received the award.  In addition to attending the After the Lap event Amber and her guest will attend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Banquet and various other activities associated with Champions week.

This past weekend in Martinsville Vaseline MEN ran its second and last race of the season with Martin Truex Jr. behind the wheel.  The Vaseline MEN team started off strong with a 3rd place qualifying effort but a late race bump and spin forced the team to settle for a 28th place finish.

Vaseline MEN also had a presence outside the track in the corporate display area.  The display offered fans the chance to try Vaseline MEN lotion and the Aloe version of Vaseline.  Fans also had the opportunity to spin the trivia wheel and answer a question to win a prize.  Another element for fans was the Tire Changer Challenge were fans could compete against one another.  Last but not least each fan who visited walked away with a sample size of Vaseline MEN Lotion and a coupon to purchase Vaseline the next time they visit the store.

Bulldawg Volunteers at a Local Soup Kitchen by Bryan

The Bulldawg Team took a break from the normal routine and volunteered at the local Soup Kitchen today.  With Don and JJ manning the grill we served over 300 pieces of chicken and feed over 170 visitors to the Kitchen.  With the chicken barbequing everyone else helped prepare the baked beans, coleslaw, fruit salad, bread and desserts.  As soon as we started serving, people came up raving about the chicken and baked beans and were asking for seconds--there was plenty to go around a second time.

It was a complete team effort that none of us will ever forget.

Atlanta and Richmond by Bryan

The Bulldawg team has been busy the past few weeks, traveling to Atlanta and Richmond.  In Atlanta our team successfully managed the entitlement and contest associated with the Degree V12 300 with Dale Earnhardt Jr. driving the no. 5 Degree V12 Chevy in the race.  Dale put on quite a show at the end of the race, gambling on fuel and tires for the win!  Unfortunately he came up two laps short and finished third.   Still the weekend was a hit--with huge crowds and great racing who could have asked for more!

This past weekend our team was at Richmond managing the corporate display for Hellmann's, Klondike and Lipton.  As usual Richmond always draws a crowd and our display was packed!   Brad Keselowski piloted the no. 88 Lipton Chevy and finished fourth after leading 70 laps.

Next up for the Bulldawg Team is the October race weekend in Charlotte where we will manage the Dollar General 300 Race entitlement and culmination of the Real Fan of the Year contest!  Stay tuned for more updates!
