Mike Nutting, President
Mike founded Bulldawg Marketing in 1999, after being involved in all aspects of merchandising and sales for the racing industry since his graduation from the University of Georgia in 1991.
- Licensing Manager, Corporate Sales Manager, and Trackside Operations for Diamond Sports Group/Wheels Sports Group/Racing Champion, Inc. (involved in two corporate mergers) responsible for negotiating Winston Cup and Busch Series contracts between drivers/agents and their companies for souvenir sales; Managed licensing and product approval for NASCAR souvenirs; developed and executed wholesale, retail and corporate merchandising programs; assisted in management of 15 trackside souvenir trailer operations; and managed corporate programs.
- Corporate Account Executive, Licensing Manager and Wholesale Sales Manager for Motorsport Traditions. Mike spent his first year at Motorsport learning all aspects of the business from the warehouse, screen-printing, purchasing, accounting and customer service then was moved into a corporate account executive position responsible for merchandising programs for DuPont, Interstate Batteries, Coca Cola, and Pennzoil, among others; Mike also worked as a licensing manager for the drivers that represented the aforementioned companies including Jeff Gordon, Bobby Labonte and Bill Elliott; Wholesale Sales Manager representing Motorsport at tradeshows, managed national sales force and assisted in product development, purchasing and trackside operations.
John Johannesen, Vice President
John joined Bulldawg following six successful years at Oakwood Homes. He has an excellent background in sales, sales management, hospitality and merchandising.
- Assist Direct Manager, Oakwood Homes responsible to the district manager for retail sales of $320 million. Responsible for trouble shooting low quota sales centers, hiring and training in a six state region. Also responsible for new location reconnaissance including land acquisition and start up inventory.
- General Manager, Oakwood Homes for a $4.3 million sales quota, hiring, training and recruiting of sales staff and service personnel. Responsible for central inventory management, outside contractor agreements, and all financial aspects of the sales territory.
John has been an excellent addition to the Bulldawg team. His knowledge of sales and merchandising has made him a valuable asset.
Mickey Nutting, Chief Operating Officer
Mickey assumed the duties of COO following his retirement from RJR/Nabisco. Mickey retired with 37 years experience gained through the following areas of responsibility.
- Vice President, Business Development, Sports Marketing Enterprises responsible for all outside business, the oversight of all Winston Motorsports teams including the #23 Jimmy Spencer Winston Cup car, the defending champion NHRA Top Fuel car driven by Gary Scelzi, and NHRA Prostock Motorcycle Champion Angelle Sampey. He also was in charge of the Vantage Championships PGA Senior tour golf event.
- National Sales Manager, Forsyth Private Label Tobacco Division
- Vice President, Sports Marketing Enterprises responsible for the management of the Nabisco and Vantage Golf Championships with a special emphasis on customer hospitality, trade promotions, and media relations; managed NASCAR Winston Cup, NHRA Winston Drag Racing and Winston Eagle hydro-plane programs
- Staff Vice President, Nabisco Brands
- Sales Management, Nabisco Brands serving as Regional Vice President for the southeast .
Don Marshall, Chief Financial Officer
Don has over thirty years experience in sales and sales management. Don joined Bulldawg in 2003 following his retirement from Sunbeam Corporation
- Vice President of Sales, Grocery and Drug divisions, Sunbeam Corporation responsible for sales and marketing for six Sunbeam business units, supervision of six direct salespeople and 60 broker representatives.
- Sales Management, Life Saver/Nabisco Foods serving as director of wholesale distributors, convenience store, telemarketing, and trade relations (1983-1998) with progressive promotions from key account manager to district manager (1983) to division manager (1985) to director of field sales training (1990). Developed and implemented the Nabisco convenience store program: managed $900 million in sales, supervised 21 direct reports and trained field personnel.
Lynne Saintsing, Vice President of Marketing
Lynne has been with Bulldawg since 2004 managing one of our key NASCAR accounts. She brings 25 years of marketing experience gained at R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with expertise in the following areas:
- Sr. Manager, Lifestyle Marketing responsible for developing web-based databases for marketing programs
- Inventory/Marketing Operations Manager, responsible for Brand direct marketing/fulfillment programs, development of promotion programs, catalog fulfillment, warehouse/fulfillment supplier management, and consumer relations
- Promotion Fulfillment Manager, responsible for sweepstakes and catalog programs to include direct sell
- Sales Promotion Manager responsible for sales program evaluation and analysis of competition
- Assistant Team Manager, Sports Marketing, responsible for managing and developing team sponsorships and event marketing programs to include NASCAR Winston Cup, Camel GT, Camel Pro Motorcycle racing, hydroplane racing, air racing, sailboat racing, mud and monster truck competitions and soccer. Managed agencies and developed volume-generating programs.
- Marketing Research Assistant, responsible for providing analysis of marketing programs.
Christy D’Hondt; Director of Operations
Christy has been with Bulldawg Marketing since 2002 overseeing licensing contracts, royalties, accounting functions and operating procedures. She has been in the racing industry since 1999, 2 years of which she co-managed the licensing department for NASCAR’s largest team, Roush Racing.
- Licensing Manager, Roush Racing, which included management of over 60 licensees for 6 Nextel Cup teams, 2 NASCAR Busch teams, and 2 Craftsman Truck teams. Responsible for contract negotiating, contract execution, approvals and royalties. She developed a system for tracking royalties from receipt of payments to disbursement to the sponsors, drivers, and the team. Also oversaw a co-op Advertising program for all 120 licensees for product awareness.
- Controller, Team Caliber Die-cast, handled all financial functions of an up-coming Die-Cast company for NASCAR, which quickly grew and was purchased by Roush Racing. During this tenure, she also worked with the overseas manufacturer of the die-cast cars to insure US and corporate regulations were met for manufacturing and shipping the cars.
Anne Hansen; Director of Marketing
Anne recently joined the Bulldawg Marketing team and brings a classic marketing and promotion background from the Consumer Packaged Goods world to compliment the Bulldawg team. Anne is based out of the Green Bay, Wisconsin offices of Bulldawg Marketing.
